Premier Community were recently in the finals for the Skills for Care Accolades in the category for Best Social Care Employer. We’re incredibly proud to have made it this far and to have heard so many wonderful things from Apprentices and staff about our apprenticeships.
In her interview with Skills for Care, Samantha Ward said,
“ I was scared at first about completing my level 2 in HSC and especially Maths and English but I was supported all the way through and I gained my qualification. I have gained so much confidence in my knowledge at work but also I have become more confident as a person.”
Our Premier Community Academy provides thousands of learning hours to our staff each year, we do this with a drive to both provide opportunities for professional development to our staff, and to ensure that our staff are well-trained to provide high quality care.
Tracey Poole, Registered Manager said:
“It felt amazing to be shortlisted, at Premier Community we’ve worked really hard to create a clear route of progression for everyone who starts with us. And then to be a finalist in the awards, we were delighted! I think it helps the whole team to feel that their doing good work.”
Although we were unsuccessful in winning the category, we’re honoured to have been awarded highly commended for the category. It’s been wonderful to have been recognised for our social care apprenticeships.
Skills for Care’s CEO Sharon Allen said:
“Our Accolades awards recognise the brilliant work that organisations like Premier Community do day in and day out to offer person centred services in our communities.
“It’s really inspiring to hear the stories of all our finalists who overcame fierce competition to win their nomination and the ceremony publicly thanks them for the work they do supporting the people they work with to live the lives they want.”
