How do you choose a care provider?

Home Care

It can be very daunting choosing a care provider for your loved one. You know you want the best quality of care you can get for them, but how do you choose?

Think about the needs of the person you’re seeking care for. How often do they need a carer to visit? How long do they need a care call for? Every provider will have different call times,  so this is an important thing to check. It’s also important to ask if the call durations are flexible.

Personal preferences

Making sure your loved one has a bespoke care package is important. Find out how the care company takes personal preferences into account. The carer should know the persons likes, dislikes and preferences. It’s important to make sure they track if these are being met or not. At Premier Community we pride ourselves on our person-centred care and how we build our care packages around the individual.

Care Provider Monitoring

It’s important to make sure that your care provider will monitor their support. This means that if your loved one has a condition that can progress over time, their needs are being monitored and assessed regularly. At Premier Community we make sure we regularly assess our service users needs to make sure they are receiving the correct level of care for their needs.

It’s a difficult decision to make when you know your loved one requires help. We know there’s a lot of choice out there and it isn’t easy to choose the right care provider. If you’d like to find out more about our bespoke care packages, please contact us by clicking here.
