Meet Aydenn: Our Branch Manager in Swadlincote

We would like to welcome Aydenn, our Community Branch Manager at Premier Community Mobility in Swadlincote.

Aydenn joined Premier Community towards the end of May, bringing with him a wealth of experience in operations and customer support, alongside a genuine passion for helping people access the right support for their needs.

Before joining Premier Community, Aydenn worked in operations for a BPO contact centre based in Derby, supporting clients including Sky, The Telegraph and OVO Energy. After spending time in this fast-paced environment, he decided it was time for a new challenge and a new opportunity to learn, grow and make a real difference within his local community.

“I took the leap and left my existing role for new challenges and new areas that I could learn and grow in,” Aydenn explains. “I also wanted the opportunity to really help and support members of my local community as a way of giving back.”

A Varied Role with Community at Its Heart

One of the things Aydenn enjoys most about working at the Swadlincote branch is the variety the role brings.

“No day is the same at all, which I really love,” he says.

Some days are spent managing the day-to-day running of the branch, from stock ordering and stock taking to rearranging the showroom space and making sure everything is ready for customers. Other days are focused on spending time with members of the community, understanding what support they need and helping them find the right solution.

“What’s really special about the Swadlincote branch is that our carers are always coming in and out and working from the offices above,” Aydenn explains. “You get a real sense of community. The kettle is always on and ready.”

That welcoming atmosphere is a big part of what makes the branch feel so approachable, both for customers and the wider Premier Community team.

Helping customers find the right support

As Community Branch Manager, Aydenn’s role is all about helping customers feel listened to, understood and supported.

“Quite simply, I’m here to help guide our customers to the support they need,” he says. “Whether it’s a new wrist brace, a brand-new scooter, or setting up that all-important chat about how our incredible Premier Community carers could provide support in their own home.”

For many customers, being able to visit a branch and speak to a real person makes all the difference. It gives them the opportunity to ask questions, try products, talk through concerns and feel confident in the decision they are making.

“Customers want to speak to a person,” Aydenn explains. “They want to ask questions and get to grips with the item they are purchasing, not just look at a picture on a website or in a brochure.”

“What I provide is a friendly, open and safe space to discuss your needs and how I can support you.”

Making a positive impact

Although there has not been one single standout moment since joining Premier Community, Aydenn is proud of the difference his work makes every day.

“I am extremely proud of the work I do here,” he says. “I know it’s having a really positive impact on a customer’s quality of life, big or small.”

That sense of purpose is at the heart of the role. Whether someone needs a small daily living aid, mobility support, or a conversation about care at home, every interaction is an opportunity to help someone feel more comfortable, independent and supported.

A personal understanding of mobility support

Aydenn’s connection to mobility support is also personal.

“My wife has a condition called EDS and, like most of my customers, has good days and bad days,” he explains.

He has seen first-hand how the right mobility equipment can transform daily life. When his wife first got her mobility scooter, it made a huge difference to family days out, holidays and shared experiences with their children.

“Her quality of life massively improved when she first got her scooter,” Aydenn says. “It made family days out and holidays so much easier for her and also meant that she wasn’t missing out on experiences with our children.”

This personal experience gives Aydenn a deeper understanding of just how important the right support can be, not only for the individual, but for their whole family.

Leading with honesty

When asked which Premier Community value resonates the most, Aydenn’s answer is clear: honesty.

“Honesty, for sure,” he says. “I’m not a salesman. I’m here to help support you to make the decision on the solution that works best for you and gives you the quality-of-life improvements you are looking for.”

For Aydenn, it is not about pushing a product. It is about listening carefully, understanding what matters to the customer and helping them feel confident in the choice they make.

“It doesn’t matter what I think,” he adds. “It matters that you get exactly what you need to feel supported or more comfortable.”

Get to know Aydenn

Outside of work, life is busy for Aydenn with three children, who take up most of his time through family days, clubs, activities and everything in between.

When he does get a spare moment, he enjoys playing World of Warcraft and is also a huge professional wrestling fan, spending plenty of time keeping up with weekly broadcasts and pay-per-views.

Something colleagues might not know is that Aydenn also mentors students at his old university through an employability mentoring scheme. Each year, he works with two to four students, sits on panels for Q&A sessions and gives talks to support students as they prepare for their future careers.

His work on the project was recognised by the university in 2019, when he received an Outstanding Achievement Award.

When asked to describe himself in three words, Aydenn chose: “Charismatic, handsome — obviously — and most importantly, Dad.”
