We’re really pleased to welcome Jesse Hanks back to Premier Community, this time in the role of Care Co-ordinator.
Jesse is no stranger to our community. He first joined Premier back in 2023 as a carer and lead community carer, quickly becoming known for his caring nature, sense of humour and willingness to go the extra mile for both colleagues and service users. After spending two years gaining further experience in other care settings, he has returned to Premier Community with even more skills, confidence, and leadership experience under his belt. His story is a fantastic example of how meaningful and fulfilling careers in care can be.
A Career Built on Compassion and Experience
Jesse has worked in care for around 20 years, primarily in residential homes, supporting individuals with complex needs and dementia. Over that time, he has managed teams, organised rosters, and supported staff development, always with a calm, positive approach and a focus on person-centred care.
His passion for care began early in life when he helped care for his mum during her illness. That personal experience shaped his commitment to caring for others and has guided his approach throughout his career.
Taking the Next Step in His Career in Care
In his new Care Co-ordinator role, Jesse is looking forward to:
- Achieving the best for staff and service users
- Using his experience from across Nottingham and Manchester to strengthen our teams
- Developing his own skills further as part of a supportive leadership group
One of the things that drew Jesse back to Premier Community was the feeling of being part of a genuine, family-run organisation where people matter. He describes Premier as “the best I’ve known as a family-run business because they care about their service users and their staff – nothing is ever too much trouble.”
Supporting Careers in Care at Premier Community
At Premier Community, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to build a rewarding career in the care industry. Whether you’re new to the sector or have years of experience, we’re committed to helping our people grow through training, mentorship, and progression opportunities.
Our approach is built on three key principles:
- People before paperwork – because genuine care comes first.
- Respect and dignity – for every member of staff and every service user.
- Building trust and transparency – in everything we do.
Jesse’s story perfectly reflects these values — and shows what’s possible when you choose a career in care with a company that invests in you. From care assistant to care co-ordinator, his journey demonstrates that with the proper support and passion, you can truly grow and make a difference in this field.
He’s already said how welcome he’s felt coming back into the fold, with the team making him feel at home from day one and always ready to help with anything he needs.
When he’s not coordinating care, Jesse enjoys spending time with his family and partner, and also supports his mother-in-law, who is deaf & blind. Home life is busy but full of love – and if there’s music on while he’s cleaning, it’s likely to be 80s tunes or something from a reggae festival.
He also enjoys baking and cooking, board games, travelling, running, swimming, dog walking, a bit of DIY and the odd shopping trip. It’s fair to say he doesn’t sit still for long!
We’re delighted that Jesse has chosen to continue his career in care with Premier Community and to step into this new leadership role with us. His experience, positivity and genuine passion for making a difference will be a real asset to his team and the people we support.
Please join us in giving Jesse a very warm welcome back to Premier Community – we’re proud to have him as part of our care co-ordination team. 💙
