After more than a decade of dedicated service, we are celebrating the remarkable journey of Lynne as she steps into a well-earned retirement. Lynne has been a valued part of the Premier Community family for over 11 years, working across both our care and mobility services and leaving a lasting impression wherever she went.
Known for her kindness, honesty, and unwavering commitment to others, Lynne’s career reflects the very heart of what Premier Community stands for. As she closes this chapter, we want to take a moment to reflect on her journey, share memories from colleagues, and say a heartfelt thank you for everything she has given to our team and the wider community.
Lynne’s Care Journey
Lynne has worked for both sides of the company starting off with us in care over a 11 years ago in the Mansfield/ Forest town area, where she worked with Joe, mobility director, both as carers at the time.
Joe, mobility director, reflected with us a bit about their time working together. “I had the pleasure of working with Lynne in both care and the mobility shop. Lynne has consistently been hardworking, kind, and an excellent team member. Thank you for your dedication, and I wish you a very happy and well-deserved retirement.”
Many of our team have had the privilege of working with Lynne over the years one of them being Nicola Cope, Business Operations Manager. Nicola has taken the time to reflect on her working journey together. “Whether it was working together on the Warsop double run or stopping for a chat in the Kings Mill shop, I have always had a great relationship with Lynne and very fond memories of our journey at Premier Community.
“Lynne has always been a welcoming, supportive, and truly valued part of Premier Community, regardless of the role she was serving in at the time. Her dedication and kindness have made a real difference to both colleagues and the wider community.
“I would like to wish Lynne all the very best in her retirement and say a massive thank you for everything she has done.”
Ellie Franks, Care Co–Ordinator, managed Lynne during her caring days and shared with us a bit about Lynne. “Lynne is a brilliant carer; she always put our service users first and they all loved her visiting. She was an excellent member of the team and always tried to help everyone as much as she could.”
A New Chapter After the Pandemic
Lynne’s journey out in the care field came to an end in 2023 after seven years of care service. Her reputation in care was that of a compassionate, hardworking, and kind carer who consistently strived to go above and beyond for her service users.
Her straightforward attitude was always well received by service users, as she communicated with honesty and kindness. Lynne was a well-liked member of the team and occasionally shadowed new staff, showing them the ropes.
Following the pandemic, Lynne needed to step back from the demands of frontline care for personal reasons. Coincidentally, it was also the time we were recruiting for a part-time role at Kings Mill. After a successful application and interview, Lynne took up her role within our Kings Mill team, helping to keep the store open and ensuring continuity of excellent customer service.
Her passion and dedication moved over to join the Mobility side, where she became store assistant at the Kings Mill Hospital store, in Mansfield.
Lynne worked alongside Kate, Branch Manager, and Rachel, store supervisor. After two years of working closely together Rachel shared “it’s been an honour to work with Lynne, she should enjoy her very well earnt retirement.”
Kate also shared her thanks and a kind message “Thank you, Lynne, for everything you have done to help and support not just me, but our amazing customers too. It has been a pleasure and a joy to have worked with Lynne over the years, and she is going to be greatly missed. I will her all the best and a well-deserved stress-free retirement.”
A Lasting Impact Across Care and Mobility
Finally, Dan, Managing Director, shared his final thanks and well wishes to Lynne ahead of her retirement. “With over 30 years as a family business, we have had the privilege of working with some of the finest individuals who represent the best in our society and communities.
“Also, with this longevity, we have to face those bittersweet moments when people retire. Lynne Karoly is someone who has made a significant impact at Premier, first in caring for our community and then working in our mobility store, helping people further. Lynne, I wish you the best, well-deserved retirement! Thank you on behalf of all of Premier Community. “
Lynne is now stepping back from her working life, and we couldn’t let this moment pass without recognising her contributions. We are proud to have people like Lynne in our teams, as she fully embodies the values of our family business. We wish you all the best, Lynne.
