All staff have access to the Wisdom app, a digital platform that provides guided mindfulness, stress management exercises, sleep support, and personal development resources. This ensures our team can maintain mental health at work and stay resilient, anytime and anywhere.

Mental Health First Aiders

Our trained Mental Health First Aiders, Rebecca Hale and Amanda Winnard, offer confidential support, listen without judgment, and guide staff to professional help if needed. This creates a culture where mental health at work is prioritised, reducing stress and promoting confidence.

Connecteam for Streamlined Communication

Connecteam is Premier Community’s internal communication and team management platform. It acts as a central hub where carers and managers can stay connected, informed, and supported in real time.

For us, it helps strengthen the sense of family and community that sits at the heart of Premier Community. It gives our teams a shared space, even though most people are out working independently, supporting others in their own homes.

But, it’s not just about passing on information or staying organised. It’s about recognising people as individuals and valuing the different skills, strengths and personal qualities each person brings into our community. Through everyday updates, conversations and shared moments, people feel seen and included, not just managed.

Team Meetings Every Three Months

In addition to the initiatives mentioned above, we also hold regular in-person team meetings at venues across our care areas. These allow staff to connect face-to-face, share updates, and discuss challenges in a supportive environment. These sessions promote consistency, collaboration, and alignment across the team, ensuring the highest standards of care.

Supervisions Every Six Months

Structured supervisions provide one-to-one support, feedback, and guidance. They help staff stay on track with professional goals and maintain consistent performance, reducing stress and increasing job satisfaction.

Annual Appraisals

Yearly appraisals allow staff to review achievements, set development goals, and feel recognised for their contributions. Regular feedback ensures care staff support is consistent and career growth is clear.

Flexible Scheduling & Work-Life Balance

We understand life doesn’t always fit into a 9-to-5 schedule. Flexible shifts allow staff to manage personal commitments while maintaining excellent care standards, promoting overall well-being.
