We’re incredibly proud to welcome Rebecca Tougher into her new role as Registered Manager at Premier Community.
Rebecca didn’t start her journey with us in a leadership role. She joined as a Home Care Assistant, working out in the community and supporting people in their own homes. She was drawn to Premier Community because of our values, and because she wanted to be part of a team where care is personal, respectful, and genuinely people-first.
Now, she’s taken the next big step in her career, becoming a Registered Manager, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for her.
A career built on compassion and experience
Rebecca brings with her nearly 10 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the NHS, alongside her experience as a carer in the community.
That combination makes her an incredibly strong leader, because she understands care from every angle: the clinical side, the personal side, and the everyday reality of supporting people at home.
Rebecca’s passion has always been clear:
“I am driven to provide compassionate and person-centred care.”
And she knows first-hand how important it is for people to be able to stay in their own homes, surrounded by what’s familiar, comfortable, and safe:
“Having worked in the community for a number of years, I am passionate about keeping people at home where medically possible.”
Leading with trust, honesty and support
Rebecca is passionate about building the kind of workplace culture where people feel safe, supported, and able to ask for help.
She said:
“I will strive to maintain an open and honest culture… I want carers and any member of staff to feel comfortable to approach me and I will do my utmost to help.”
This is at the heart of what makes Premier Community different. We’re a family-run organisation, and we believe care teams work best when people feel respected, listened to, and valued.
A new chapter for Sheffield
Rebecca’s role will see her leading the Dronfield care team, continuing to provide high-quality home care across the area.
She’ll also be supporting the next exciting step in her journey: helping Premier Community grow our care services into Sheffield, working from our Woodseats Mobility shop.
For Rebecca, this is more than expansion. It’s about building something meaningful:
“I am passionate about leading and inspiring others to provide the highest quality care possible.”
And she’s excited to develop a strong team in Sheffield and Dronfield, creating a service that families can trust and carers can feel proud to be part of.
Getting to know Rebecca
Outside of work, Rebecca loves spending time with her nearest and dearest. She enjoys dog walks, live music, travelling, and (like most of us!) a good TV binge after a busy week.
She’s a tea drinker, a fan of an Indian takeaway, and her playlist includes Arctic Monkeys, Robbie Williams, and Fleetwood Mac.
A journey we’re proud to celebrate
Rebecca’s progression from Home Care Assistant to Registered Manager is exactly the kind of story that deserves celebrating.
It’s proof that care isn’t just a job, it’s a career. And at Premier Community, we’re proud to support our people to grow into leadership roles where they can shape teams, strengthen services, and make a lasting difference.
Please join us in congratulating Rebecca on this incredible step. We’re excited for what’s ahead, and we’re proud to have her leading the way.
