Meet the trainers
Amanda Winnard
Next up, we’d like to introduce Amanda, our Workforce Development Manager.
Amanda joined Premier Community as a carer in 2017. Throughout her time with us she has progressed in various roles and today she is the driving force behind all our specially curated in-house training programmes.
Amanda, alongside our trainer Sally ensures our care professionals are skilled, confident, and supported to deliver high-quality, compassionate care that enhances the independence and well-being of our clients.
I started out 21 years ago working for Derbyshire County Council in Domiciliary care. I enjoyed every minute of it until things started to change, and I became unhappy in my role.
I knew I had to leave and started looking at reviews from other companies, but what drew me to Premier Community was the fact that it was a family-run business, and there was the opportunity to progress if I wanted to.
Lead Community Carer and Assistant Trainer
Meet the trainers
Sally Sheldon
Joining a company like Premier Community is about so much more than being just another carer; it’s about becoming part of our family and working somewhere that listens to, values, and nurtures our employees.
Lead Community Carer and Assistant Trainer Sally Sheldon joined us as a carer in March 2020.
Sally’s commitment to her service users and passion for helping others was evident from the start. Just one year later, she was promoted to Lead Community Carer. In this role, she offered support, help, and advice to other carers in her area and assisted with new package set-ups and reviews for our service users.
In 2023, Sally was given the opportunity to become our Assistant Trainer and now helps to deliver an engaging in-house training programme alongside our Workforce Development Manager, Amanda Winnard.
