As Premier Community marks its 30th year, we’re proud to share an important step forward in how we support our teams, our clients, and communities across North Derbyshire.
We’re pleased to welcome Dawn Langsdale to Premier Community as our new Registered Manager, working alongside Tracy Marsden as we begin the next chapter for this area.
This appointment supports our plans to develop Derbyshire North into two branches, creating more focused, local care leadership and strengthening support for both teams and clients.
Growing with purpose
As Premier Community continues to grow, so does our responsibility to ensure our teams are well supported and that our clients receive the highest standards of care.
Over the coming year, Derbyshire North will develop into two dedicated branches:
Branch 1: Chesterfield and Sheffield
Branch 2: Creswell, Whitwell, Clowne, Bolsover and Shirebrook
Dawn will be supporting Tracy across the area during this transition, helping to build strong foundations, connect with local people, and ensure continuity, quality and compassion remain at the heart of everything we do.
Getting to know Dawn
Dawn brings with her a wealth of experience from her time as a Care Manager, where she focused on supporting people who need it most, building strong staff teams, and creating environments where both colleagues and clients feel supported and valued.
Speaking about joining Premier Community, Dawn shared that she was drawn to the role because of the opportunity to make a real difference:
“It’s about making someone feel supported and comfortable in their own home. I’d heard very good things about Premier Community Home Care, and I wanted to be part of that.”
She’s already been busy meeting new people and getting to know the teams, saying how welcome she’s felt in her first week:
“Meeting the office team has been brilliant, they’ve all made my first week very special.”
Dawn is particularly looking forward to connecting with local clients and teams across the area as the branches continue to grow and evolve.
A people-first leader
At Premier Community, we believe strong care leadership starts with listening, learning, and building relationships. Dawn’s approach reflects those values perfectly.
Her experience managing teams, supporting new staff, and helping people through challenging times will play a key role as we strengthen our presence across North Derbyshire.
She’s also a great reminder that leaders bring their whole selves to work. Outside of work, Dawn loves travel, gigs, theatre, and spending time with family. She’s a fan of classic rock and metal, enjoys snowy countries, and has had some incredible experiences – from skiing in beautiful locations and watching the Northern Lights, to travelling to Kenya and getting very enthusiastic about rugby!
Looking ahead
As we enter our 30th year, this step represents everything Premier Community stands for: thoughtful growth, strong leadership, and care that feels personal and local.
We’re thrilled to have Dawn join us at such an important time and are confident she’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our Derbyshire North services alongside Tracy and the wider team.
