On Friday, 27th February, Premier Community will be heading to the Great British Care Awards National Finals, joining care organisations and professionals from across the country to celebrate excellence in our sector.
The Great British Care Awards are one of the most respected celebrations of care in the UK, recognising the people who go above and beyond every day to support others with compassion, dignity and professionalism.
And this year, we are incredibly proud to be attending with four shortlisted nominees. Four members of our team who represent what care should look and feel like: person-centred, values-led, and full of heart.
No matter the outcome on the night, we already know this:
Being shortlisted at the national level is a huge achievement, and each nominee has made Premier Community proud.
Our nominees: four stories of excellence
This year, Premier Community is celebrating four nominees across four award categories:
Molly Price – The Three R’s Award
Gemma Singleton – The Home Care Care Co-ordinator Award
Megan Morris – The Care Newcomer Award
Zoe Beck – The Home Care Assistant of the Year Award
Each of these awards recognises something different, but they all come back to the same core truth:
Care is about people, and the way we make people feel matters.
Molly Price – The Three R’s Award
The Three R’s Award recognises organisations and individuals who have embraced innovative approaches to recruitment, retention, and recognition.
The award highlights initiatives that create a positive work environment, support professional growth, and prioritise employee recognition and rewards. Molly has been shortlisted because she brings these three qualities to life in a way that’s felt by everyone around her. In particular, she has been recognised for her recruitment strategies that have led to improved staff satisfaction, enhanced performance, and long-term organisational success.
Megan Morris – The Care Newcomer Award
The Care Newcomer Award celebrates people who are new to the care sector, but who have already made an outstanding impact.
Starting a career in care takes courage, compassion, and resilience. It means stepping into people’s lives at vulnerable moments and choosing to show up with patience, warmth and respect.
Megan has been shortlisted because she has embraced her role with an incredible attitude and a genuine commitment to learning and growing. Even early in her care journey, she has already shown the kind of natural person-centred care that makes a lasting difference.
She’s a reminder that the future of care is bright, because people like Megan are part of it.
Zoe Beck – The Home Care Worker Award
The Home Care Worker Award honours the vital contribution of home care workers who are out delivering high-quality care to individuals in their own homes.
Zoe has been shortlisted because she embodies the very best of what it means to be a care professional. Her dedication, compassion and reliability shine through, and the impact she has on the people she supports is clear.
Zoe’s nomination is a powerful reminder of how care, done well, changes lives.
Gemma Singleton – The Home Care Co-ordinator Award
The Home Care Co-ordinator Award seeks to identify those who excel in in effectively managing their care team to ensure the home care being provided is safe, organised, responsive and compassionate.
Care co-ordination is more than scheduling and logistics. It’s about ensuring that every visit, every handover, every plan, and every decision is made with the individual receiving care at the centre.
Gemma has been shortlisted because she brings professionalism and empathy together. She is someone who supports the wider team, helps services run smoothly, and ensures that people receive the right care at the right time, in the right way.
Her work reflects trust, transparency, and a calm determination to always do what’s best for the people we support.
A moment of pride for all of us
These nominations belong to Molly, Gemma, Megan and Zoe, but they also reflect something bigger.
They reflect a culture where people matter.
- A workplace where values are lived, not just written.
- And a team that supports each other to deliver care that is respectful, dignified, and deeply human.
We are so proud of every one of them, and we can’t wait to celebrate the evening together.
Good luck, Team Premier!
