30th Birthday Party 1 – Sheffield
Premier Community Celebrates 30 Years Our First Birthday Celebration in Woodseats
This week has been incredibly special for everyone at Premier Community as we officially celebrate 30 years since we started as a family business. We are partying in each store this week and we’ve kicked off in Sheffield.
When my family first began this journey back in 1996, we could never have imagined where it would lead. Today, Premier Community supports hundreds of people every day through our home care services, mobility stores and community support across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Sheffield, but our values remain exactly the same as they were on day one, putting people first.
It felt right that our first celebration took place in Woodseats, a shop that was our first expansion for our mobility team. Woodseats is a hugely important part of our story and is now home to both our fantastic Sheffield Mobility Store and our CQC-registered home care service, supporting people throughout Sheffield and across North East Derbyshire.
The sunshine certainly helped, but what really made the day memorable was seeing so many colleagues together, sharing stories, laughing and reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve all been part of. There was plenty of fun with games, raffles and friendly competition, but the best moments came from hearing people’s memories of Premier Community over the years.
As CEO, one of the greatest privileges of my role is hearing the stories behind our organisation. Every conversation reminds me that Premier Community has never simply been about delivering care or supplying mobility products. It’s about helping people continue their personal story and allow our staff to nuture that.
Those stories belong to our amazing colleagues, our wonderful customers and their families. They are the reason Premier Community has been able to grow from a small family business into one of the largest independent providers of home care in the East Midlands, while still staying true to the values that have guided us for the past 30 years.
Our 30th anniversary isn’t just about looking back, it’s about celebrating the people who made this journey possible and looking forward with the same ambition, passion and commitment to our communities.
This is just the beginning of our celebrations, and over the weeks we’ll be sharing more memories, more stories and more moments from across our teams as we celebrate three decades of supporting independence and delivering outstanding community care.
From our family to yours, thank you to everyone who has been part of the Premier Community story. Here’s to the next chapter.
