Staff Spotlight: Georgia’s Snowflakes for Sheffield Children’s Hospital

Tags

At Premier Community, we’re lucky to have colleagues who bring heart, creativity, and community spirit to everything they do. This winter, we’re shining a light on Georgia Henderson from our Mobility team, who is using her crochet skills to raise money for a charity close to her heart.

Georgia will be selling hand-crocheted snowflakes at the local lights switch-on, with every penny going to The Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity. The hospital is one of only three dedicated children’s hospital trusts in the UK, with a proud history of caring for children and families for over 125 years. Fundraising like this helps them continue that vital work for children across the country.

As Georgia puts it:

  • Crochet snowflakes will be sold on the day, with all proceeds donated.
  • She’ll also bring winter wearables she has made, donating 10% of sales to the charity.
  • Event details: 6pm–8pm at Woodseats Medical Centre.
  • If you can’t attend but would still like to support, Georgia is happy to arrange a donation or snowflake purchase.

Why this matters to us

Georgia’s fundraising perfectly brings our values to life — putting family first by supporting children and their loved ones, showing real respect and dignity for the care every child deserves, giving in a clear and heartfelt way that builds trust, and using her own creativity to make a meaningful difference right here in our community.

How you can support

If you’re able to, please consider showing your support in any of these ways:

A huge thank you to Georgia for representing Premier Community so beautifully — and for reminding us how powerful small acts of kindness can be. Let’s get behind her and help those snowflakes turn into something truly meaningful.
