Act 24 of 30: 25 Donors, 16 First-Timers and One Brilliant Act of Kindness  

For Act 24 of our 30 for 30 campaign, we rolled up our sleeves (quite literally) and took on a blood donation drive. 

A 25-strong team from across Premier Community came together to give blood, and we couldn’t think of a more fitting way to mark our 25th act of kindness. 

What makes us even prouder is that 16 of our team were first-time donors. 

For some, it was something they’d always meant to do but never quite got round to. For others, there were a few nerves to push through first. But every single one of them turned up, sat down and gave something that can make a real difference to someone they will never meet. 

Blood donations are used every day to support people through surgery, cancer treatment, childbirth, accidents and long-term conditions. A single donation can help more than one person, and it only takes around an hour from arrival to that well-earned biscuit. 

That’s what we love about this one. It’s free, it’s simple and it’s one of the kindest things any of us can do. 

At Premier Community, care is at the heart of everything we do. Every day, our teams support people to live well, stay independent and feel cared for. Giving blood is another way of showing that same care, just with a slightly different uniform and a plaster at the end of it. 

Our 30 for 30 campaign is about celebrating 30 years of Premier Community by giving back to the people and communities who have supported us along the way. Sometimes that means fundraising. Sometimes it means volunteering. And sometimes it means 25 people bravely facing a needle together. 💉 

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, and a special well done to our 16 first-timers. We hope it’s the first of many.
