Act 30 of 30: Ending Where Care Matters Most

Act 30 of 30: Ending Where Care Matters Most

For the final act of our 30 for 30 campaign, we wanted to finish with something that captured exactly what the last 30 years have been about.

Premier Community was proud to be the lead sponsor of John Eastwood Hospice’s 35th Anniversary Charity Ball, helping celebrate an organisation that has supported local people and families through some of the most difficult moments imaginable.

It was a special collaboration and an even more special evening.

Throughout our 30 for 30 campaign, we have supported charities, community groups, grassroots teams, colleagues, service users and local people. Each act has been different, but the thread running through every one of them has been kindness, dignity and showing up when people need you.

That made John Eastwood Hospice feel like the perfect place to bring the campaign to a close.

A night that brought care into focus

During the evening, guests heard an incredibly moving testimony from a mother whose daughter had been supported by John Eastwood Hospice.

Her story brought home the difference compassionate care can make.

In the middle of an unimaginably difficult situation, the hospice created space for dignity, peace and precious moments together as a family.

It was a powerful reminder that care cannot always change what is happening.

But it can change how those moments are experienced.

It can create comfort where there is fear, dignity where there is uncertainty and memories that families can carry with them forever.

That is something everyone at Premier Community understands deeply.

Care is care

Premier Community and John Eastwood Hospice provide very different types of support, but the values behind that support feel remarkably familiar.

Compassion. Respect. Dignity. Trust. And the belief that every person deserves to feel cared for.

Those values are lived out every day by the teams at John Eastwood Hospice, just as they are by colleagues across Premier Community.

Whether someone is being supported to remain independent at home, helped through a difficult stage of life or cared for during their final days, the small things matter enormously.

The conversation. The reassurance. The cup of tea. The person who stays a little longer. The moments between the tasks.

That shared understanding made this partnership particularly meaningful.

And the evening delivered an incredible result too.

The Charity Ball raised an amazing £16,071, with the funds going directly towards supporting local patients and their families.

Lisa from John Eastwood Hospice said:

We are incredibly grateful to Premier Community for their generous sponsorship of this year’s Charity Ball. Thanks to their incredible support, the evening was a remarkable success, raising an extraordinary £16,071.

Every penny will go directly toward providing compassionate, specialist care to local patients and supporting their families when they need it most.

We simply couldn’t have achieved such a fantastic result without Premier Community standing alongside us.”

For us, that is exactly what this partnership was about.

Standing alongside an organisation doing extraordinary work, and helping make more of those moments of care possible.

30 years. 30 acts. One final thank you.

We began 30 for 30 to celebrate Premier Community’s 30th anniversary by finding 30 ways to give something back.

Along the way, the campaign has introduced us to remarkable people, brilliant charities and communities full of generosity.

So ending the campaign alongside John Eastwood Hospice felt incredibly fitting.

It was not simply about sponsoring an event.

It was about standing alongside an organisation whose people share the same fundamental belief we do:

that good care can change someone’s experience of life when it matters most.

We would like to thank everyone at John Eastwood Hospice for welcoming Premier Community as lead sponsor of their 35th Anniversary Charity Ball, and for the extraordinary work they continue to do across our community.

And to everyone who has taken part in, supported, nominated, shared or simply followed our 30 for 30 journey over the past year, thank you.

Thirty years of Premier Community.

Thirty acts of kindness.

And thousands of moments that remind us why care matters.

Act 30 of 30. What a way to finish. 💙
