Act 29 of 30: Woodseats Supports Sheffield Children’s Hospital 

For Act 29 of our 30 for 30 campaign, our Woodseats Mobility Shop team is supporting the local Snowflake Light Switch On appeal, helping raise funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital. 

Alongside a £150 donation to the charity, the team has put together a gift hamper valued at £100 to be offered as a raffle prize. That’s £250 of support for a cause that means so much to children and families across Sheffield and beyond. 

A poster sparked a little extra kindness 

When Woodseats Medical Centre asked the shop to display a poster advertising the event, Branch Manager Maureen saw an opportunity to do a little more. 

Maureen, Woodseats Branch Manager, who arranged the hamper shared: 

“We were asked if we would put up a poster for the Woodseats Medical Centre to advertise the Snowflake Light Switch On. 

“This is an appeal to help raise funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital. I thought it would be lovely to contribute in other ways, as well as putting up the poster. 

“We have put together a lovely hamper with some great items, which is valued at £100. This will be a lovely prize for anyone taking part in the raffle. 

“We are proud to be part of the Woodseats community.” 

Local people supporting local families 

Community events bring people together, and we’re delighted to play a small part in this fundraising effort. 

For Maureen and the Woodseats team, being part of the community goes beyond the support they offer in the shop. It means getting involved, showing kindness and supporting causes that matter to their neighbours. 

We hope the hamper brings a smile to its lucky winner and helps encourage plenty of support for the raffle.
