Act 9 of 30: Premier Community Helps Raise Over £10,000 for Hayward House Hospice
Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness become part of something much bigger.
As part of our 30 for 30 campaign, Premier Community was proud to support Bulwell Hall Golf Club’s annual charity golf day by donating a £250 American Golf voucher to the event’s raffle and auction.
What followed was an incredible community effort.
Together, golfers, local businesses and supporters raised an amazing £10,300 for Hayward House Hospice, more than doubling the amount raised at last year’s event.
Our raffle prize was successfully bid on by local supporter Steve, who plans to treat himself to a new golf bag. More importantly, Steve shared why supporting Hayward House means so much to him, explaining that the hospice has touched his own family and that he regularly raises money for the charity whenever he can.
For organisers Richard and Loretta, the success of the day was about far more than fundraising.
“The donation means so much, so thank you. My mum was a nurse at Hayward House for many years, so I’ve heard some very sad stories but some wonderful ones too.
The NHS funding they receive is very basic and allows them to function. The charity donations take it to a new level. Without them they couldn’t provide the very personal care that end-of-life care requires.
They’re very close to finishing a private outdoor space where beds can be taken outside, allowing patients to enjoy fresh air with their loved ones during the final stages of their journey.
Thank you so very much, Premier, for your kind donation.”
Those words perfectly capture why this year’s 30 for 30 campaign exists.
Every act of kindness, no matter how big or small, helps strengthen our community.
We’re incredibly proud that our contribution became part of a day that will help Hayward House continue providing compassionate care and precious moments for local families when they need them most.
A huge thank you to Jayne for nominating this cause and representing Premier Community on the day, and congratulations to everyone involved in making the event such an incredible success.
Together, we helped raise £10,300 for an amazing local hospice. 💙
