We’re absolutely delighted to announce that Faith Martin-Porter has been promoted to the role of Care Co-ordinator.
Faith’s journey with Premier Community is a fantastic example of what progression in care can look like. She joined us as a Care Assistant, bringing with her previous experience as a live-in carer and a strong background in customer-facing roles. Since then, she has grown in confidence, capability and leadership, and we’re so proud to see her take this next step.
From Care Assistant to Co-ordinator
Faith was originally drawn to Premier Community because of our values.
She shared that she was attracted to our strong reputation as a family-run organisation that prioritises compassionate, person-centred care, independence and dignity. Having already worked in care, she wanted to be part of a team that supports both service users and staff.
“I said yes to the role because I could see that Premier Community aligns with my own values and offers an environment where I can make a meaningful difference.”
That alignment has clearly paid off.
From live-in care to working in the community as a Care Assistant, Faith has built a solid foundation in reliability, communication and truly person-centred support. She understands what it means to be out in the field, adapting to changing needs and building trust with the people we support.
Now, as Care Co-ordinator, she’ll be able to support both colleagues and service users on a wider level, ensuring high standards of care are maintained and that everyone feels supported.
What Great Care Means to Faith
For Faith, great care is simple but powerful.
“Great care means delivering support that is truly person-centred, respectful and consistent. It’s about listening, understanding individual needs, and helping people maintain their independence and dignity in their own homes.”
That mindset is exactly what we look for in leadership.
She describes a great day at work as one where everything runs smoothly, communication is clear, and both staff and service users feel supported. It’s about teamwork, calm problem-solving and finishing the day knowing you’ve made a difference.
A Career With Purpose
Faith’s passion for meaningful work doesn’t stop at care co-ordination.
She currently holds her Care Certificate, adult and child Basic Life Support certifications, and is studying Graduate Entry Medicine at the University of Nottingham, working towards her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor, hopefully a GP – Yes… really.
Her ambition, drive and compassion are part of what make her such a valuable member of our team. Faith sees her future in both care and medicine as part of the same mission: helping people feel safe, supported and understood.
And we’re proud that Premier Community is part of that journey.
Getting to Know Faith
Outside of work, Faith describes herself as bubbly, compassionate and honest. She loves hiking in the Peak District with friends, relaxing with a good TV series (Bridgerton fans, take note), and cooking gluten-free dishes that apparently don’t taste gluten-free at all. Her homemade lasagne and chicken pie come highly recommended.
She’s a coffee drinker, a Route 66 dreamer, a Gran Canaria holiday fan, and her all-time favourite film is ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’, which feels fitting for someone whose career centres around helping others.
Looking Ahead
Faith’s promotion is a brilliant example of career progression within Premier Community. She’s grown from Care Assistant to Care Co-ordinator through dedication, skill, and a genuine commitment to high-quality care.
We’re excited to see her develop further in her new role and continue to support both our carers and service users.
Please join us in congratulating Faith on her well-deserved promotion. We’re proud of you, and we’re excited for what’s ahead
