Alfreton Shop
We’re opening in Alfreton, with mobility and home care under one roof
From Monday 2nd November, Premier Community opens its doors in Alfreton, and we couldn’t be more excited. Arriving in our 30th year, it’s our sixth mobility shop and our first site built from day one to bring mobility and home care together under one roof.

30 years on, everything under one roof
Three decades ago, Premier Community began as a small family business with one simple aim: helping people in our communities stay independent at home. Thirty years on, that’s still what drives us, and Alfreton is the boldest step yet. We know from experience that the right chair, scooter or stairlift often goes hand in hand with a little extra support at home. Now, families can get both from one local team.
In the shop: mobility scooters, riser recliners, stairlifts and daily living aids, with friendly face-to-face advice so you can try before you buy and take your time choosing.
Home care: our Amber Valley home care and live-in care team is already 120 strong and supporting families right across Amber Valley, and is now based at the same site. Whether you need a few visits a week or round-the-clock live-in support, the team is there to help.
Meet the team
Riley leads our new Alfreton mobility shop. He’s looking forward to making it a friendly local hub where the kettle’s always on. Read more about Riley.
Sabrina leads our Amber Valley home care and live-in care team, making sure every client gets reliable, person-centred support at home from carers who know them well. If you’re thinking about care for yourself or a loved one, Sabrina and the team are on hand to talk through your options.
A word from our CEO
โOpening in Alfreton in our 30th year feels really special. We started as a family business with one aim, to help people stay independent at home, and this site brings everything we’ve learned into one place. Social care and the high street are both facing a tough time, but standing still isn’t an option. Amber Valley already has a 120-strong care team we’re hugely proud of, and now local families can get the right equipment and the right support from people they know and trust. We can’t wait to meet our new neighbours.โ โ Dan Isterling, CEO
