Act 16 of 30: Premier Community Takes Over Mansfield 103.2 for Business Belters Week
For Act 15 of our 30 for 30 campaign, we decided to do something a little different.
Instead of picking up paintbrushes, delivering donations or getting stuck into a community project, we headed for the radio studio.
From Monday 31 August to Friday 4 September 2026, Premier Community took part in Mansfield 103.2’s Business Belters, with our very own Communications Manager, Tim, sharing a little bit about Premier Community each day before choosing a song for listeners across Mansfield and Ashfield.
It might only have been a couple of minutes each day, but it gave us a brilliant chance to celebrate the people, places and values that have shaped Premier Community over the past 30 years.
Premier Community on the airwaves
Our Communications Manager joined Chadders at Mansfield 103.2 to record five Business Belters sessions, talking about Premier Community, our teams and our connection to the local area.
And, of course, no radio takeover would be complete without the music.
Across the week, our five Business Belters were:
- Monday: Tina Turner – Simply the Best
- Tuesday: Harry Styles – Treat People With Kindness
- Wednesday: Queen – Don’t Stop Me Now
- Thursday: Bill Withers – Lean on Me
- Friday: Oasis – Wonderwall
Each song gave us the chance to celebrate something a little different about Premier Community, from the incredible people working across our care teams to the importance of kindness, support and community.
Why radio for 30 for 30?
Premier Community has grown considerably over the last 30 years, but Mansfield remains an incredibly important part of our story.
We are proud to be local.
We are proud to employ local people.
And we are proud to support individuals and families across Mansfield, Ashfield and the surrounding communities every single day.
That is why Business Belters felt like such a natural fit for our 30 for 30 campaign.
Our campaign is not only about donations or fundraising.
It is also about celebrating the communities that have supported Premier Community for three decades, building stronger local connections and finding new ways to tell the stories of the people behind our organisation.
For one week, that meant turning up the volume. 📻
A few minutes in the spotlight
Recording the sessions with Chadders was a brilliant experience and gave us a rare opportunity to squeeze 30 years of Premier Community into a handful of two-minute conversations.
No pressure, then.
Those few minutes gave us the chance to talk about the people who make Premier Community what it is today, share a little of our story and hopefully introduce the organisation to a few people across Mansfield and Ashfield who might not have known much about us before.
Whether someone knows Premier Community through our home care teams, our mobility shops, a relative we support, a member of staff, or simply from seeing our name around the local community, we want people to understand what sits behind it.
People. Family. Kindness. Independence. And a genuine connection to the communities we serve.
