Act 18 of 30: Carlie Takes the Leap for Ashgate Hospice 

For Act 18 of our 30 for 30 campaign, Carlie took kindness to a whole new altitude. 

Taking on a 15,000ft skydive at Hibaldstow Airfield, she faced the nerves, made the jump and raised an incredible £750 for Ashgate Hospice. 

Carlie said: 

I was so nervous in the run-up to the jump, but the team at Hibaldstow Airfield looked after me every step of the way and made me feel completely safe. Nothing quite prepares you for the freefall from 15,000ft. The adrenaline was incredible, even if it did leave me with a very dry mouth and wobbly cheeks! 

I’m thrilled to have raised £750 for Ashgate Hospice, who provide invaluable palliative and end-of-life care to patients and support to their families across our local community. 

As a proud partner of Ashgate, it means so much to Premier Community to give something back to a charity that supports so many of the people we serve. 

Ashgate Hospice supports people across North Derbyshire living with life-limiting illness, as well as their families and loved ones, providing care in people’s homes, in the community and at the hospice itself. 

For Premier Community, this act was about more than one big jump. It was another way to stand alongside a local charity whose work means so much to the communities we serve.
