Local Health Walks in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire

A group of people attending a local health walk

Taking part in local health walks around Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire is great for boosting your well-being and is vital to creating the sense of community on which we pride ourselves.

Proven to help boost our mood and reduce anxiety, walking is one of the easiest ways to incorporate exercise into our lives. Fortunately, there are many local walking groups in our area, that offer gentle, guided walk and talks that are perfect for those looking to increase their activity levels as well as chat with like-minded people.

During our recent Steps for Dementia campaign, which ran throughout February, Team Premier clocked up over 12 million steps and raised £500 for Dementia UK. Whilst this is a fabulous achievement for all those involved – we would like to add a special mention to one of our service users, R Armstrong, who joined in with the challenge and contributed 17,923 steps.

As advocates for comprehensive care, we actively encourage and can help all our service users to incorporate more walking into their daily routines, should they wish to do so.

Whether it’s a walk in the park, accompanying you on a trip to your local garden centre or helping you to connect with your nearest Walk & Talk Service or Best Foot Forward Walking Group, just let us know how we can help to keep you active.
